Client Needs
On this project we worked with a builder for a new construction home being built on Sanibel Florida. The builder outfitted the home with impact windows and doors to provide hurricane protection. But as nice as the home was, it needed a design element that set it apart and make it stand out.
Simply put, the property needed a unique design element that would enhance the look of the home and make it truly shine.
In addition, they were looking for a product that would provide shade. This was a great selling feature, especially for a home in the Sunshine State.
Solution
We worked with them to find a solution that would meet their design and functionality goals. Hurricane shutters were not necessary because the home has impact glass throughout. But adding our custom Half-Bahama Shutters provided a nice design element, a pop of color to the white color scheme. They also provided some much needed shade for the home.
As for the color, they picked a custom blue color that goes with the home perfectly. It adds just the right amount of contrast to the white color scheme. And it adds a tropical design element without overdoing it on the home.
