Client Property & Customer Requirements
This property is a new construction, single family home located in Fort Myers FL. This project called for a product to provide storm protection specifically to the patio and lanai area of the home.
They had a few requirements:
- Hurricane protection – the main goal of the project was to provide hurricane protection to the patio/lanai of the property during the Florida Hurricane Season
- High-end looks – due to the high-end nature of the new construction, the project required a solution that would add to the aesthetics of their stunning pool area and home in general. Also, the modern design of the home required something with crisp, clean lines (lack of eye clutter). Eurex Shutters PTX™ Hurricane Screens look just like high-end, non-hurricane, roll down screen products. There definitely is no compromising on the look of the home with these attractive screens.
- Convenience and ease of use – although this was a lower concern, they wanted a hurricane protection system that was fast and easy to use
In summary, the goal for this new construction home was to use hurricane screens for hurricane protection while also increasing the aesthetics, enjoyment, and comfort of the home’s outdoor area.
The solution was EUREX SHUTTERS PTX™ Motorized Hurricane Screens.
Product: EUREX SHUTTERS PTX™ Motorized Hurricane Screens
The chosen solution was custom, hurricane-rated PTX™ Hurricane Screens. To add to the high-end look and feel of the home, they chose automatic screens controlled by electronic motors.
As for configuration, there are two screens positioned side-by-side, with a post in between. So their entire lanai area is enclosed and protected when the screens are closed.
As for color, they selected black screens and white tracks and housings. The frames and housing boxes match their home’s exterior wall color so it looks like part of the home.
These hurricane screens look absolutely amazing on this stunning, beautiful, new construction, pool home!
These new custom, EUREX SHUTTERS PTX™ Hurricane Screens will provide storm protection and great looks along with shade and privacy for many years to come.
