FAQs

What are casement impact windows?

Casement windows are windows that are attached to the frame with hinges on the left or right side. So unlike a typical window that opens vertically these open and close inward or outward. How you operate them depends on the window you choose. In general, they are operated with either a crank, a latch, or another system.

And if you live in an area prone to hurricanes there is an impact resistant version. But you probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. This is because they look and operate just like regular casement windows. The difference is they are engineered and constructed to be able to withstand the wind gusts and flying debris experienced during a hurricane.
